Das Objekt kam als Geschenk von Israel Moses Farb (aus Podhajce, Galizien) am 14. September 1913 ans erste Jüdische Museum. Der Eintrag im Inventarbuch lautet: ‘Gewürzbüchse (Hawdalahbüchse), silberne / in Form einer Birne (Kinderklöppel) / stark lädiert; wahrscheinlich polnisch - / jüdische aus dem Ende des 17. Jh.’
